Stay and Play Pet Resort was found in 2016 by Drs. Maria Di Gregorio and Joseph McCann, owners of Baker Animal Clinic in Stillwater, OK. The Resort represents a long-time desire by its owners to provide a truly pleasing, clean and friendly environment to board pets of concerned owners.

Dr. Joseph McCann

Dr. McCann was born in Scotland of Irish parents. He emigrated to America in 1977 to pursue a Doctorate at Cornell University's Veterinary College. He began his professional career at Oklahoma State University in 1987 and quickly embraced the Oklahoma way. The Oklahoma people and their faith and family-based way of life remind him dearly of Ireland and Scotland. He established RockErin kennels in 1980. He has successfully trained golden and Labrador Retrievers, flat coat Retrievers, Boykin Spaniels, and the odd standard Poodle to be good citizens and perform well in upland and waterfowl hunting. Both his own dogs and client dogs trained at RockErin have competed with distinction in North American Hunting Retriever Association trials, AKC Hunt trials, and AKC Field trials. His reputation of producing steady, dependable and healthy trial/hunt dogs has spread across the country.

Dr. Maria Di Gregorio

Dr. Maria Di Gregorio is a native New Yorker who found Oklahoma to be her heart's content. She and her husband, Dr. McCann, own and run Baker Animal Clinic in Stillwater, OK and Cleveland Veterinary Clinic in Cleveland, OK. They raised two daughters in the Oklahoma sunshine and gave them the same respect and love of animals expressed by their parents. Their oldest daughter serves our great nation in the Navy and has started her own family, and their youngest is a senior at OSU. Dr. Maria is kept busy managing 2 veterinary clinics and the new Pet Resort, but still finds time to prepare outstanding and authentic Italian meals.
